Acknowledgement of Risk

Safety Equipment & Personal Responsibility:

Participants are responsible for their own safety during the class. You will be using various tools and equipment, including but not limited to scissors, craft knives, die-cutting machines, glue, tweezers, heat guns, hot glue guns, and pyrography pens. Please listen to any safety instructions and handle the equipment with care.

 

Supervision:

While we will provide guidance and supervision, participants must ensure they follow all instructions and safety guidelines. We are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from improper use of tools.

 

Tool Use & Risk:

Certain tools, such as craft knives, pyrography pens, and heat guns, may involve the risk of cuts, burns, or other injuries. By attending this class, you accept responsibility for the proper handling of these tools and understand the associated risks. Use tools only as instructed and always exercise caution. We will provide PPE when required, but cannot be held responsible for you using it.

 

Glue & Materials:

All adhesives used in the class (including hot glue and other craft glues) should be handled carefully to avoid skin contact. Any accidental spillage or misuse may result in stains, irritation, or injury. Participants with allergies should inform us prior to the class.

 

Health & Well-being:

If you have any medical conditions (such as allergies, sensitivities to heat, or respiratory conditions) that may be aggravated by the tools or materials used in the class, please inform us before the session. Please be aware, we provide free refreshments and biscuits during your class, but it is your responsibility to check for ingredients before consumption. Handwashing soap provided is also in the original packaging, so you are able to check labels before use.

 

First Aid:

If you sustain an injury during the class, you give permission for medical assistance from a trained First Aider in the first instance.

 

Liability:

We cannot be held responsible for any personal injury, property damage, or loss resulting from participation in the class, including improper use of tools or accidents while handling craft materials. We will provide PPE where needed but cannot be held responsible for you using it.

 

Photography:

We reserve the right to take photographs of processes and finished projects for our website. We will ask you before taking photographs of you and will not share your image without permission and we ask that you please show us the same courtesy.

 

Privacy and GDPR:

We will not sell, transfer or otherwise disclose the personal information given on this form, unless required to do so by law. Personal details are stored securely, and this form will be retained for statistical use and email communications(if agreed above) only.

 

By continuing with this class, you acknowledge that you understand and accept these terms and agree to follow all safety guidelines to ensure a safe crafting experience for yourself and others.
