We’re a brand-new, small local business run by two sisters based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. Amanda and Marianne, who share a big love for all things crafty. Crafting has always been our go-to for switching off from the stresses of daily life, and we have learned many craft skills along the way. Through our classes, we hope to share that sense of calm, self-care, and creativity with others.
Our goal is simple: to create a warm, welcoming space where people from the local and surrounding areas can enjoy relaxed, friendly craft classes. Workshops are often based in Central London, and we wanted to offer something a little closer to home, perfect for anyone short on time, juggling family life, or just looking for a nearby place to unwind. Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to book one of our workshops and we have step free access from the street into our workspace.
All our classes are small groups, up to a maximum of 10. We offer free refreshments with every class, although you are welcome to bring your own refreshments along. Some of our evening events are labelled BYOB, which means you are welcome to bring along something a little stronger if you prefer (we will provide glasses), perfect if you are celebrating a special occasion. Each month, we’ll be offering 10 different craft projects, plus a special Showcase Craft, something a little extra to get excited about!
These sessions will run on various days and at different times throughout the month, so if something catches your eye, you’re bound to find a time that works for you. We’ll be switching things up every month, so there’s always something new, fun, and creative for you to try, whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned maker!
So, whether you're looking to try something new, celebrate a birthday, kick off a hen weekend in a relaxed way, or simply enjoy a girlie get-together with friends, our workshops are a lovely way to connect, create, and take a well-earned breather.

The Story Behind The Craftykin Cabin
A Place to Create, Connect, and Feel at Home
Meet The Craftykin Sisters
The Craftykin Cabin is the result of that long-held passion, and we couldn’t be more excited to create a space where creativity, connection, and a little bit of calm come together.

Meet Amanda and Marianne Adams
Amanda has spent the past 25 years working in Primary Education, with a special passion for planning and teaching lessons specifically tailored to children with SEND. Creativity has always been at the heart of her teaching from organising whole-school art exhibitions and painting murals, to running family craft-along evenings, staff workshops, and collaborative community projects. Art has run through every part of her school life, and now she’s excited to bring that same energy, passion, and love for making to The Craftykin Cabin!
Marianne has spent many years as a dedicated carer for the elderly, bringing compassion, patience, and a gentle, friendly approach to everything she does, and always manages to sneak in a bit of humour to keep things light and cheerful! She has a natural talent for making people feel at ease, something that shines through in our workshops. Her caring nature, combined with a love for crafts and creativity, makes her a calming and encouraging presence in every session. Marianne’s all about helping others slow down, relax, and enjoy the moment, one mindful make at a time.
Now that our families have grown, we felt it was the right time to step away from the fast-paced and high-pressure work environments we’d been in for so long and finally take the leap into something we’ve dreamed about for years, sharing our love of craft and teaching others.
